My
name is Lou Grantt and my background is in the entertainment industry. I spent a dozen years in and around
Hollywood as a script consultant. While there, I worked to improve the screenplays of novices
and professional screenwriters alike. For six years, I was also publisher and
editor of the industry's only trade paper entirely dedicated to screenwriting,
Hollywood Scriptwriter, giving me a unique perspective on the art and craft of
storytelling, and
the marketing of scripts to television and film. I currently live about a
hundred miles from L.A. in the high desert and spend most of my time writing.
This is the place to find out the latest news about my books and my writing
endeavors. I'll keep you as up to date as I can. I'll let you know when and
where there will be book signings or appearances. For daily
updates, visit my blog. There you'll find the minutiae of my writing struggles
and triumphs.
For the
foreseeable future, most of my writing is set in the 1960s and 70s. If you
remember those times, or are curious about them, I think you'll enjoy reading my
novel, At The Lake, and the upcoming book of short stories, Green Wool.
